Hi everyone!

I hope I haven't worn you all out with my posts yet, because once again I have something to show you ![]()
And today it's another kit from last year that landed in my hands entirely by chance (now there was someone I never expected to see!) and got painted in a week—Rika Furude.
Reminiscence moment: about five years ago, I finally decided to splurge on the prepainted Rika and Hanyuu figures by Wave. I'd been drooling over them ever since I got into the hobby in 2012. Back then they cost around 6,000–6,500 rubles each, which was terribly expensive for me. About seven years went by, my finances improved, and these figures became even rarer, but they did still pop up occasionally on Mandarake (Rika) and even here on the Shelf (Hanyuu). Apparently, buying them in 2019 was my leap into the last car before the borders closed and the remake came out, after which their price in Russia crawled all the way up to 70k ![]()
Nobody asked for my opinion, but neither the design nor the story of the remake works for me at all. I wish they'd made a beautiful continuation with Umineko's answer arcs instead...
The kit is simple and pleasant to paint. It came together nicely and didn't require much work on the seams, despite that being my first thought when I saw the little dress split into two parts.

Checking the prepainted figure to see how the bangs are supposed to sit:

The only interesting process photos are probably the eyes—ded Rika ![]()

And just like that, the new Rika is finished. I'm checking the seams on her head and along the sides—everything looks fine, hooray.

More photos from every angle:

Which one do you like better? ![]()

And that's pretty much it :) I sold my prepainted Rika because I no longer needed her, and now I'm eagerly waiting for a Hanyuu garage kit (ooh, fingers crossed), so I'll have both girls looking beautiful and bright :3
